Thank you for choosing Bethesda Conservatory of Dance for your child.  We offer high-quality, low-pressure technique classes to dancers of multiple levels and all abilities from beginner to pre-professional.  Our “Best of Bethesda Award” winning studio aims to be a second home for you and your dancer.  We strive to meet each child’s needs from beginner through advanced in a warm and welcoming environment.  Kids are under enough pressure; we will not add more as we provide a real, non-competitive, dance education.  Our faculty’s goal is to make sure your dancer loves dance and the dance studio experience as much as we do!

   We ask that children wear dancewear as described at https://www.bethesdaconservatoryofdance.com/dress-code-requirements .  The dancer must have all the required clothing and shoes within two weeks of joining class.  Don’t have time to grab the gear? No, worries, we can help place an order for you!

Though you may purchase your dancewear anywhere, we have an online option for your convenience https://www.shopnimbly.com/BethesdaConservatoryofDance.  Shoe fitting days will be scheduled throughout the year! 

 

An annual $70.00 registration fee will be applied for each family for the 2023-2024 season.  

Students must reach the age requirement for the class by September 1, 2022.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT AGE UP STUDENTS.

 

Classes that do not reach the minimum number of enrolled students will be cancelled and refunded.  Classes marked by an * require teacher recommendation and director approval, a pre-requisite, and/or additional enrollment commitments to participate. Not seeing what you are looking for?  Call us, new classes are forming all the time. 

 

This school year-based session is billed as an annual fee broken down into 5 bi-monthly payments.  Tuition is charged on September 1, November 1, January 1, March 1, and May 1.  Parents must submit a request to stop payment 2 weeks prior to billing if they would like to stop classes. No exceptions can be made to this policy.

Welcome Week Begins August 28, 2023 with regular classes beginning on September 5, 2022. Classes run through June 16, 2023. Check out our entire calendar here: CALENDAR | bcod (bethesdaconservatoryofdance.com).  The final day to drop for the season without penalty is April 15, 2023. Accounts that are not paid in full by May 1, 2023 may not participate in recital.  Once enrolled, we will not pro-rate partial months. Family multi-class discounts are available.

Dancewear, including recital costumes, and showcase uniforms are at an additional cost determined by the manufacturer.  A costume fee of $80.00-$125.00 will be billed on November 15, 2023.  A performance fee of $50.00 for our mini showcase will be billed on October 1, 2023 and includes their performance t-shirt and video. Those not wishing to participate in recital must notify the studio by November 1, 2022. Costumes ordered after November 15, 2022 will be charged an additional $30.00 processing and shipping fee.

Our session begins on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.   

August 28-September 4, 2023 is Welcome Week. All dancers may have 1 person join them to stop by the studio, take their first day of dance pictures,  meet the teachers and staff, and order their dance gear!   

  

 

 Dancers must arrive in full dress code and change into dance shoes when they enter.  Students ages 3 and up must be able to separate** to attend Creative Dance or Hippity Hop class with Staff/Faculty.  Students ages 3-5 and that are not ready to separate and their caregiver are welcome to join us for Boppin with my Big Buddy™ Dancers presenting with any COVID symptoms or symptoms of any communicable disease will be denied access and sent home.   

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY REASON.   

** Creative Movement for 2 year old dancers may have 1 adult accompany them in class. Adults must be prepared to fully engage and dance with their child.  Observers will be asked to wait outside.
